Iza Calzado shared a post accepting defeat
Kapamilya actress Iza Calzado said that she is praying for incoming President Bongbong Marcos and his administration.
Iza is one of the stars of ABS-CBN who supported the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan. Throughout the election season, she shared posts showing that she is a proud Kakampink.
However, the presidential and vice-presidential candidates that Iza supported faced defeat. The tandem of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has an overwhelming lead.
With this, Iza Calzado shared a post showing that she has accepted the fact that her chosen candidates did not win. For her, how the Leni-Kiko tandem handled defeat is something admirable.
“To accept defeat with dignity and grace and a heart filled with hope is what this election season has taught me. I have the utmost respect for the leaders I voted for after seeing them handle their loss,” the Kapamilya actress said.
With this, Iza said that she is praying for the administration of Bongbong Marcos. “I now put my faith in the current elected administration and, with a hopeful heart, I pray for them as they do their duty to lead our country,” she said.
Iza also thanked all the people she met during the campaign. She said that it was inspiring “to see this awakening of the Filipino spirit.” The actress also said that she will treasure this experience forever.
