Willie Ong shared his message for the BBM-Sara tandem
Cardiologist Dr. Willie Ong, the running mate of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, congratulated UniTeam’s candidates Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte who are leading the partial and unofficial count.
Ong started his journey in politics last 2019 when he ran for senator. Unfortunately, his first attempt to hold a government position was not a success. In this year’s elections, he opted to be the running mate of Mayor Isko.
Many people were surprised when he announced that he will be running for vice president and they were expecting that he will run for senator once again. In a recent Comelec’s count, Doc Willie Ong is just in the number 4 place.
In a recent video that the cardiologist posted on his social media account, he already congratulated the tandem of Marcos and Duterte. “Congratulations sa ating bagong President, President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte sa kanilang pagkapanalo ngayong eleksyon,” the doctor said.
Ong also gave his message to the BBM-Sara tandem. He wishes that Marcos and Duterte will have good and successful governance in their six-year term as elected officials. The doctor also said that many people are expecting the tandem to help in making the lives of Filipinos better.
“Sana maging matahimik na ang bayan at magsama-sama na tayo at magtuloy-tuloy na kung saan man tayo patungo para mas umunlad ang ating bayan,” Doc Willie Ong added.
Previously, Mayor Isko Moreno has already conceded to Bongbong Marcos, as well as Senators Ping Lacson and Manny Pacquiao. However, the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan has not released a statement yet acknowledging the candidates who are leading the partial and unofficial count.
